"At NTS, we make it possible together. Technology inspires and drives us; it's our passion. Every day, we work on unique solutions for complex challenges. Whether it's ultra-complex or ultra-precise solutions, we are proud of what we do and what we deliver." Do you want to discover what's possible together? Do you excel on a Mikroturn Hembrug, Mori Seiki, or Emco with micron precision, prefer setting up your work yourself, programming it yourself, and measuring it yourself? Do you thrive on compact one-offs in exotic materials rather than endless series? Then join us as a CNC Turner at NTS Drachten and let's make it possible together! Job Description As a CNC Turner at NTS Drachten, you are at the foundation of our production process. You work independently on our CNC lathes from Mikroturn Hembrug, Mori Seiki, and Emco, with Fanuc and Siemens controls. You set up your work yourself, program it yourself in TopSolid 7 or at the control, and measure it yourself. From start to finish, it's your work. You turn compact, ultra-precise products from mostly round starting material, often no larger than what fits in the palm of your hand, with precision up to about 1 micron. No mass production, but one-offs and small series in high-quality and exotic materials such as titanium, molybdenum, niobium, platinum, stainless steel, and Stavax. It's the combination of tight tolerances and varying materials that makes it truly craftsmanship. You work in a compact team of about four machinists on your own production floor, in two shifts. The lines are short, and the atmosphere is direct and down-to-earth. Together with engineering and preparation, you make new products feasible and look for the best way to machine them. What you don't know yet, you'll learn here on the shop floor from your closest colleagues, at a pace that suits your experience. If you want to progress, you can develop into a programmer or machining specialist with us. Your responsibilities also include: Independently setting up, operating, and optimising our CNC lathes (Mikroturn Hembrug, Mori Seiki, and Emco); Programming independently in TopSolid 7 or at the Fanuc or Siemens control; Preparing fixtures and checking tools, products, and materials based on technical drawings and work instructions; Turning compact one-offs and small series from round material with precision up to about 1 micron; Monitoring the quality of your own work and measuring according to our customers' tight tolerances. Requirements We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner who enjoys precision work and brings the following: A completed technical education at MBO level 3 or 4, preferably in Machining or Mechanical Engineering; Demonstrable experience with independently setting up, operating, and programming CNC lathes; Experience with CAM programming, preferably TopSolid, and at the control (Fanuc or Siemens); Good command of the English language in speech and writing, for drawings, work instructions, and communication on the shop floor; Willingness to work in 2-shifts (6:00 to 14:30 and 14:15 to 23:00, Monday to Thursday; until 21:45 on Fridays). Your benefits At NTS, we combine our passion for technology with innovative solutions for complex challenges. You will have the freedom and trust to fully utilize and develop your talents in a dynamic and energetic environment. We invest in both technology and you as a future colleague! With this challenge, we offer the following benefits: Salary from €3,100 to €4,200 gross per month, depending on experience and qualifications; Shift allowance of 17.19% when working in 2-shifts; Over 40 days off: 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days with a full-time contract; Personal development and growth opportunities, for example through training and courses; Annual budget of €150 gross, freely spendable, including for vitality, bike plan, or gym via the Alleo app; Travel allowance of €0.21 per kilometer (max. 50 km one way) or full reimbursement of public transport costs; Excellent pension scheme through PME; Free fresh fruit at work.
